My clinical supervision approach is to meet you at your skill level and guide you towards the next steps in your professional growth. The role I take as supervisor is to provide support and challenge as you develop your counseling performance skills, cognitive counseling skills, self-awareness skills, and professional behaviors.
As a clinical supervisor, my goal is to help you integrate these skills within the assessment, conceptualization, and intervention process in your therapeutic practice. Dependent on your professional needs and goals, I will adjust my role to be as a teacher, counselor, and consultant. While I can give feedback from the counselor role, it is not my responsibility to be your counselor/therapist.
Similar to my process as a therapist, i start out with structured meetings then shift towards more freedom as we become more acquainted.
To figure out if we are a match for supervision, I exclusively offer free 20-minute consultations. This can be scheduled by visiting my virtual office at www.E-MOTIVEcounseling.com then clicking the "Request Appointment" button. You can also call me at 803-728-2235.
If we are a match, we will schedule our first supervision or consultation meeting at the end of our 20-minute consult. The next meeting will be 50-minutes. I will send you any paperwork to complete through the "Client Portal" at my virtual office www.E-MOTIVEcounseling.com.
If we are meeting for supervision, we will discuss how often you need to meet for your licensure requirements. If I am your primary supervisor, then we will meet every week or every 39 hours that you work.
It is $100 per hour for supervision.
I exclusively offer my services over video or phone. That way its convenient for you.
It's easy! You can meet with me at home, in your car, at work... basically anywhere you chose. I advise people to chose a space that you feel comfortable and safe to speak freely without distraction. You also need to make sure you have solid internet access or cell phone service.
Video sessions will be through my EHR system Simple Practice. You will need to download the software prior to our first meeting. Find out more at: https://support.simplepractice.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003183011-Telehealth-FAQs-for-clients
