Are you ready to launch your counseling career in North or South Carolina? As a provisionally licensed counselor, finding qualified clinical supervision is crucial for your development and fulfilling licensure requirements. My supervision services are specifically designed to support you in navigating this exciting yet challenging phase.
I bring extensive experience working in outpatient care with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health challenges like mood disorders, trauma, and neurodevelopmental conditions. My therapeutic approach integrates Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, and person-centered therapy. While these theories inform my therapeutic practice, as your supervisor, my primary focus is empowering you to clarify your unique theoretical approach. We'll work together to identify your strengths, address challenges, and ensure you meet all licensing requirements with confidence.
Together, we'll embark on a journey of professional growth, exploring case studies, honing your clinical skills, and navigating ethical dilemmas. With my guidance and encouragement, you'll gain the confidence and expertise needed to excel as a licensed counselor, serving your community with compassion and effectiveness.
My approach to clinical supervision is collaborative and supportive, guiding you towards the next steps in your professional journey. I meet you where you are in your skill level, offering a combination of support and challenge to help you refine your counseling performance, cognitive skills, self-awareness, and professional conduct.
Through our sessions, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the assessment, conceptualization, and intervention process within your therapeutic practice. I adapt my role to serve as your teacher, counselor, and consultant, depending on your specific needs and goals. While I can offer feedback from a counselor's perspective, it's important to remember that I'm not here to replace your personal therapist.
Similar to my work with clients, I bring a structured approach to our sessions:
Ultimately, my goal is to empower you to find your unique voice and identity within the counseling profession. Let's embark on this journey together and unlock your full potential!

I am currently licensed to provide clinical supervision in North Carolina and South Carolina. I am also credentialed to supervise Registered-Dance/Movement Therapist across the US.
While I have experience with a wide range of clients, I particularly enjoy supporting supervisees working with children, adolescents, and adults facing mood disorders, trauma, and neurodevelopmental disorders. However, I am open to working with counselors in all areas of practice.
As a supervisor, I draw on my extensive experience in outpatient care with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults struggling with various mental health concerns. I integrate dance/movement therapy (DMT), cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), psychodynamic and psychoanalytic, and person-centered therapy approaches into my practice. While these methodologies inform my work, my primary focus as your supervisor is to help you clarify and refine your unique theoretical approach for optimal client care.
I believe in a collaborative and supportive approach. We'll work together to identify your strengths, address challenges, and create a personalized learning experience. I combine elements of teaching, consultation, and even gentle coaching to help you grow as a therapist.
Our first session will be an opportunity for you to share your goals and expectations for supervision, and for me to get to know you and your professional background. We will then collaboratively develop a supervision plan that meets your individual needs.
I understand the requirements for licensure in both North Carolina and South Carolina as well as the national certification process for R-DMTs. We'll work collaboratively to ensure you meet all supervision hours, address competency areas, and develop the skills and knowledge needed for successful licensure.
