Absolutely! Traditional sleep hygiene might not resonate or work with your unique needs. Sleep hygiene is also not a cure for insomnia. Therapy can offer personalized approaches using CBT-I to address the root causes of your insomnia.
While I can provide screenings for insomnia, sleep apnea, and other sleep disorders, I may recommend seeking a referral for a formal sleep test for a more precise diagnosis. If you already have a sleep test report, it would be very helpful to share it with me. During the sleep treatment phase, it is usually best to meet weekly. However, we'll work together to find the frequency that works best for you.
Some people start to see positive changes in their sleep patterns within a few weeks or few months. It can depend of a number factors on when you will notice improvement, but if you put in the work, you will see the positive results!
