Highly sensitive persons tend to become easily overstimulated in crowded situations. Other people's attitudes and feelings affect them significantly. In most cases, highly sensitive people avoid conflict to avoid stressful conversations only to internalize and hold onto the stress. That zaps energy over time. No amount of sleep or food can replenish energy.
Getting some alone time is usually the answer, but only for a short while due to the strong need for deep connection with others. The cycle continues.
Your inner critic - your negative internal narrator - keeps getting louder and meaner. Eventually, you feel like you're breaking down. You often feel on the edge while you're trying to deal with life: nervous most of the time, down in the dumps, not feeling anything pleasant.
You no longer enjoy doing what you used to. Getting out of bed is a challenge. Brushing your teeth is a challenge. Everyday tasks are a struggle. Those social gatherings you used to show to, you ghost. Now you're in this hole and need help. You can't continue like this.
I help highly sensitive persons be heard, be seen, feel like they are enough to live the peaceful life they deserve without the perfectionistic, people pleasing, old negative patterns that get in the way.
